Season 2011 just buzzed by!
Saturday, September 3rd, 2011Well, 2011 has almost been and gone, and I can’t believe the last post I wrote was in 2010!
So much has happened since then:
• Bug Bam has become a 100% MADE IN THE USA products range. We moved our production facilities out of China and to Los Angeles, CA. where we have more control over what goes on with the manufacturing process of our product range. Not a single one of our competitors can make that claim, importing cheap Chinese products using colors and ingredients most competitors can’t even be certain of.
• Bug Bam has an improved formulation that works against mosquitoes, fleas, ticks and finally…FLIES!!!
• In February of this year, Bug Bam passed rigorous testing out in the field in West Africa under the protocols of the United Nations so as to become a part of the Rollback Malaria program. Bug Bam wristbands and grids received a 98.5% approval rating!
• After our role as the Official Bug Repellent of the 100th Anniversary Boy Scout Jamboree in July/August 2010, Bug Bam has now been adopted as the PRIMARY bug repellent for the 4.7 million Boy Scouts of America, and can be found in Boy Scout shops and Trading Posts across the USA.
• Bug Bam is now being distributed in 15 African countries as well as Canada, India, Taiwan, the UK and elsewhere around the globe.

I began working with all natural repellents in Australia in 1997, and after launching Bug Bam in the USA in 2004, the word has quickly spread, and our loyal customers have come to us from all over the world looking for a safe, natural and mess-free way to protect themselves from flying, biting insects.
Here at Bug Bam, we’ve overcome some pretty huge obstacles (that most of our customers don’t even realise), just to be here today. We not only bring the fight to the insects that make our life miserable, but it has become a constant battle against the big chemical companies who would like nothing better than to see natural products like ours ‘buzz off’, so that their toxic chemical based repellents continue to thrive.
